Icthus stories from Honduras

Hello Icthus friends, my name is Emanuel Guevara.  I´m 21 and I´m attending university. One of my passions is to play the bass, I play in a Christian band called Kairos. I attend the Betania church in San Pedro Sula. I received Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was 12. Pastor Hector Castro introduced Christ to me during a bonfire organized by Icthus guides. I remember that evening so clearly.  It was amazing to look around at the kids I grew up with and to know that from that moment on we were brothers and sisters, joined by the love of God.

This ministry has had an impact on my heart, but there is one in particular concept I learned in Icthus that has marked my life: God is first, my neighbor is second, and I am third. This powerful truth is a constant reminder and everyday challenge to love God over everything else, to love and serve my neighbors, and of course have love for myself, not only for what I am, but also for what God has done in my life through the work of Christ. My desire is for more kids to have a personal encounter with Christ, and now as an assistant guide in my group, it is my commitment to repeat with the kids that story that marked my life during the bonfire.
