Give Icthus kids for one year

Because of your interest in Icthus and helping children, I’m writing to ask you to provide Icthus ministry to one or more kids this new year.

Many children in Latin America desperately need Icthus.  Kids living in poor communities have very few or no programs to guide them.  Gangs plague many poor communities.  In these places, life is difficult for children and their families.  It’s not their fault that they don’t have more of a chance to have opportunities to help them develop. 

Kids without Icthus in a local church miss out.  They miss out on receiving guidance to grow in wisdom and stature and learn to love God and their neighbors as themselves. Their communities miss out on not having young people committed to Christian service and leadership.  

It never fails to break my heart when I see kids like these during trips to Latin America.  These kids are handicapped because of few opportunities. 

But with your help, many more young people will have a chance.  By giving a year of Icthus to children, you’ll be doing a wonderful thing:

• You’ll provide them with Icthus en Casa during the pandemic and other activities and care.
• You’ll help children find their God-given purpose in life.
• You’ll help provide a safe place for children where they can build long-lasting, faith-based friendships.
• You’ll make an impact to last a lifetime that will go beyond the current generation.

I have two ways for you to provide all these benefits to a child or youth.    

1. Give One gift now: You can give a gift to help a few children have Icthus for a year.

2. Join the Padrino Club: In the Padrino Club, you give a small amount each month to help even more children.  The word "Padrino” is an endearing Spanish term for "God Parent" or "Sponsor."  A Padrino makes a significant difference by helping monthly to provide ministry to groups of children.

Whether you give One Gift or become a Padrino, you’ll have the joy of knowing you are making a profound difference and blessing others with what the Lord has given you.

How will you help one or more kids have Icthus ministry this year?

Give One Gift Now:  Your gift will provide a year of Icthus to the number of kids that you’d like to help.  Your donation of $18 will give a whole year of Icthus to one child.  You can help two kids for $36.   Three kids for $54.     Four kids for $74.     

Give monthly as a member of the Padrino Giving Club to help more kids.

For example, for $15 a month, you help ½ of an Icthus group.  For $30 a month, you can help one whole Icthus kids’ group (average 15 to 25 kids).

When you become a Padrino, you’ll enjoy more benefits.  You will get reports on what Icthus kids and groups are doing.  You’ll help Icthus groups in all the countries that need it most or, if you like, you can choose a country you want to help.  You’ll have the satisfaction of changing lives that without you would remain unreached by ministry.

It makes good financial sense to be a Padrino.  By giving a small amount each month, you can help more children – even whole Icthus groups of kids.  Also, you’ll have different ways to donate monthly.  You can send your check or online gift once a month.  An easier way is to automatically give each month by arranging with your bank or on our website.
