I am grateful to share Icthus’ newsletter one more time.  I hope you enjoy these stories that show your impact on the lives of children and families in need.  Thank you!

It’s difficult to summarize my experience in Colombia in a few lines, but I’ll try.

Passionate leaders and guides are committed to transform their communities.  Every week they pour God’s love in the lives of children in need.  I attended to the national guides conference in Barranquilla.  Some 250 guides and leaders gathered to be trained and nurtured to become “5-star guides.”

Light is penetrating the darkest places in Colombia.  While walking in a neighborhood in Barranquilla, many Icthus kids came out to play and sing with the Icthus guides.  Their joy flooded the streets; the same streets where teenagers engage in gambling, drugs, and prostitution.  Jesus’ light is touching these places with Icthus children.

              As I visited Colombia, I saw how God’s kingdom is coming to restore entire communities through their young people and children.   Praise God, and thank you, for making all this possible.

       Ester Ramos is a member of Icthus’ International Team of Coordinators.  She works with several countries forming strong national teams and expanding Icthus to reach more children in need. 

Ester visited Venezuela to work with Icthus groups and train new leaders.  During her trip, she met with pastors, Icthus guides, and team members.  New guides were trained, and 5 churches opened their doors to Icthus ministry to reach out to their barrios!

In Maracay, Ester met with several leaders that were once Icthus kids themselves in the 90s. These former Icthus kids are now leaders willing to share Gospel. They truly believe in the impact Icthus can have on the young people of Venezuela.

Ester met Daniela in San Cristóbal, Venezuela. Daniela is a pastor and an Icthus guide.  Her church was holding a promotional ceremony where a group of children finished a section of the Icthus program and were ready to start the next one. 

Thanks to amigos, like you good things are coming to children and families in the communities of Venezuela that are touched by your generosity.  God bless them, and God bless you!
