CELEBRATING 56 YEARS OF ICTHUS MINISTRY

Right now, there’s an unimaginable growing hardship in Latin America because of COVID-19.  It’s affecting the lives of every Icthus child, their families, churches and communities.

*Kids are isolated and prevented from getting together for Icthus activities and meetings as well as school.

*Children who are from poor families have it much harder.   Their parents make a living through day labor and low paying jobs.  Especially now, they have a very hard time putting food on the table.  This is a difficult and grim time for them.

Your help is needed now more than ever during this difficult time.

Your gift to provide Ministry and Emergency Aid will make a big difference.

ICTHUS MINISTRY:

To help Icthus Kids during this time of isolation we are preparing a special program called “Icthus en Casa” (Icthus at Home).  It includes videos and materials to deliver to the kids at home.  It will help them continue to learn and develop.  Your help is needed to continue this program and help more kids.

EMERGENCY AID:

To provide food to impoverished families we've organized our teams to work with local churches to provide food.  To date 400 families have been helped.  But gifts are needed to help the many other children and families who need food.

Today would you help provide Emergency aid and Icthus Ministry.

56 years ago, this month, Missionary John Shackelford challenged me to start a program for kids in Guatemala.  We called it Icthus and a wonderful team joined in to build this ministry.

At the age of 21 (picture at left with an early Icthus logo), I never imagined that this ministry would go to so many countries and last for so many years!   By God’s grace and Icthus Amigos like you more than 100,000 young people have been helped.

But also, I never imagined how a world-wide pandemic would bring about such hardship!    I praise the Lord for how He’s helped us pivot and find ways to help young people and their families in this time of isolation and great need.

Now more than ever, help is needed to provide emergency food to poor families and this ministry to children.

Your help will provide young people with weekly lessons, activities, and encouragement directly to their homes.  Your gift will also help provide food to the poorest Icthus kids and their families.

To date, hundreds of kids and families been helped.  But so many more children and families need emergency aid and ministry help.  They need Icthus Amigos, like you, to help.

A gift of $50 will help provide Icthus ministry to children and food for a poorer Icthus kid and their family.

Please help with what ever you can.  Click the donate button below to choose how much you can help.

Thank you and Lord bless you,
