Jesus is a young man who loves Icthus. He lives in Sincelejo, Colombia, where he’s been raised by his single mother, Martha. They are a great example of your impact on families in Latin America.
Martha shared their story:
“I’m a single mom. Jesus’ father left me before he was born; I raised Jesus without help. We barely had enough to eat. To survive, I sold food door to door. I often skipped meals to feed my child. I worried about the kind of future I could offer to him.”
I am incredibly grateful Jesus found Icthus while growing up. He has become a better boy since then. He’s close to God, and he seeks him earnestly.”
Today, despite many obstacles, Jesus is finishing high school. In Icthus, he learned to love God and to serve his neighbors. He wants to go to college to become a professional able to help his family and make a positive change in his community.
